We are awaiting more information from police regarding a two-car accident on Whitbeck Road in Palmyra Sunday night.
According to the Palmyra Fire Department, one of the occupants was trapped in the car and was extricated by firefighters using cutters and spreaders about thirty minutes after they arrived on the scene. The victim was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The East Palmyra and Newark Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
