SHARE NOW

Close to 200 people gathered along Route 96 in Ovid on Saturday for a rally organized by Indivisible Seneca as part of the second national “No Kings Day.”

The event, which highlights concerns about perceived government overreach, was one of hundreds held across the country.  Similar gatherings took place in towns including Seneca Falls, Geneva, Watkins Glen, and Canandaigua.

Participants carried signs emphasizing constitutional rights, civic values, and government accountability, with quotes from the First Amendment, the Pledge of Allegiance, and historical figures such as Thomas Paine.

Indivisible Seneca, a volunteer-run grassroots group in the NY-24th Congressional District, said its mission is to amplify citizen voices and encourage elected officials to be accountable. The organization emphasizes finding common ground and protecting democratic principles.
