Last week The New York Times reported on the power struggle within the Cayuga Indian Nation and about the possible continued violence between factions of the nation in Cayuga and Seneca Counties.
Under new leadership, the Seneca County Board of Supervisors hopes to begin working with the Cayuga Nation.
Board Chairman Mike Enslow, of Waterloo, has eliminated the board’s Indian Affairs Committee, saying issues with the Nation will be handled by the boards new “Inter-Government Affairs” committee.
