A local man recently acquitted by a Seneca County jury of rape, unlawful imprisonment and predatory sexual assault against a child charges has been arrested on new charges.
Bryndyn Neel is accused of subjecting a young girl under the age of 14 to sexual contact and touching her intimate body parts back in July of 2020. The Seneca Falls man’s arrest is the result of an investigation that started last year after the victim came forward to police.
Neel was arrested in 2021 for an incident that year where he was accused of having forcible, non-consensual sex with a girl under the age of 17. Although acquitted of the felonies at trial in late March, Neel was convicted of a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child in that case.
Following his arrest this week by Seneca Falls Police, Neel was sent back to Seneca County Jail.
