New charges have been filed in the case of the 16-year-old boy who was allegedly found to have illegal handguns, gun parts, and drugs inside of a Waterloo apartment that was raided by police almost two weeks ago.
37-year-old Angela Siler has been charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child unlawfully dealing with a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance after it was determined she had cocaine allegedly found at the West River apartment.
Among the items found during the execution of a search warrant were 426 rapid-fire modification devices, more commonly known as a “switch” or an auto sear that attach to the rear of a firearm to convert it from semi to fully automatic. It is believed that a 3D printer also found inside the apartment was used by the unidentified teen to make the switches.
Siler was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Fayette Court at a later date. Investigators are working with Seneca County Child Protective Services due to the nature of the allegations.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
