National Women’s Hall of Fame Defends Decision to Move Ceremony to NYC

SHARE NOW

The stakes are high for the National Women’s Hall of Fame.

Following the announcement last week that the Hall of Fame was moving its Induction Ceremony to New York City, Hall of Fame CEO Jennifer Gabriel has written an open letter defending the decision.

Gabriel says she knew the “venue change would be met with mixed feelings in the community.”  She adds “Seneca Falls has been — and always will be — the home of the National Women’s Hall of Fame. Preserving the history of the region and securing the legacies of American women matters to us, just as much as it does to these generous benefactors and the community that houses the Hall.
