The new school year this fall will bring with it a new School Resource Officer in the Naples School District. Officer Tim Durgan with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office was recently approved by the Naples School Board to replace Rick Jaus, who is retiring after many years of service to the school district.
Naples School Superintendent Kevin Swartz made the announcement recently to the district in a post on social media:
“This week, Officer Tim Durgan was approved by the NCS Board of Education & the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department to serve as the next Naples CSD School Resource Officer. Officer Durgan will be replacing Officer Rick Jaus who is retiring after many years of outstanding service to our district. Similar to Officer Jaus, Officer Durgan brings many years of experience to the position and he will no doubt continue to provide highly impactful support to our students, staff, and community. Please join me in welcoming Officer Durgan to NCS and celebrating Officer Jaus as he transitions to a well-deserved retirement!”
