A fatal car versus motorcycle accident happened Thursday afternoon in Farmington.
Police say 18-year-old Cailyn Alianell, of Farmington, was turning south onto State Route 332 from Collett Road when her car collided with a motorcycle operated by Joshua Arena. The 43-year-old Farmington man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident. Alianell was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
State Route 332, northbound from State Route 96 to Loomis Road, was closed while the Ontario County Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the accident.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by State Police, Victor-Farmington Ambulance and the Farmington Fire Department.
