A local man is in critical condition after being involved in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
52-year-old Steven Scherer was traveling north on Mill Street from Benham Street in the city of Canandaigua at around 9 Friday night when his motorcycle left the road and struck a parked car. Scherer was thrown off his bike and suffered serious, life-threatening injuries.
The Canandaigua man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight and at last word was in critical condition.
Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
