A 64-year-old Rochester man has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Route 104 in the Town of Sodus.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called around 3:37 p.m. Friday to investigate a crash involving a single vehicle on Route 104.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested David Plantz of Rochester and charged him with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and several traffic violations.
Authorities said Plantz was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later taken to the Wayne County Jail, where he was held for arraignment.
No injuries were reported in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
