Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione yesterday discussed the Sheriff’s Department’s plans to keep Eastview Mall safe, which includes an increase in personnel and patrols. The Sheriff says that the mall is expecting two million shoppers over the next 30 days.
He reminded people of their new “Prepared Live” technology. Installed in March, deputies say it has been used about two to three times a week. If you call 911 in Ontario County, the dispatcher can send a link to your smartphone, which will give them access to your camera, like a Facetime call.
Sheriff Cirencione adds the mall is one of the safest places to be to shop in the Greater Rochester area.
