Jason MacBride was officially sworn in as Ontario County District Attorney in a ceremony held at the Ontario County Courthouse.
Surrounded by family, friends, colleagues, and community supporters, MacBride took the oath of office and delivered remarks emphasizing service, integrity, and the responsibility inherent in the role. Former Ontario County District Attorney R. Michael Tantillo also spoke, reflecting on the importance of the office and its mission. Sheriff David Cirencione also spoke at the ceremony.
MacBride has been serving as Acting District Attorney since December 15, and the ceremony formally marks the start of his term.
In a statement, the District Attorney’s office expressed gratitude to those who attended and reiterated its commitment to seeking justice, supporting victims, and serving the people of Ontario County.
