Police: Lyons Man Held Woman Against Her Will for Four Days

SHARE NOW

A woman says a Wayne County man assaulted her and held her against her will for four days before she was able to escape and contact police.

The victim claims that during the course of a physical domestic between herself and William Turner that started Sunday and lasted until yesterday, she was strangled and beaten, which resulted in her losing consciousness twice. The 26-year-old Lyons resident is also accused of not allowing the woman to leave the house and threatening physical harm should she attempt to call the police or tell anyone what had occurred. The victim said on Wednesday she was given permission to leave to go buy cigarettes but she went to the police instead.

Turner is jailed on charges of strangulation, assault, and unlawful imprisonment.
