The Lyons School District has announced Erin Hysick as the new principal of the Lyons Elementary School. Hysick brings over 20 years of experience in education, including leadership roles in instructional improvement, curriculum development, and mentorship programs.
Most recently, while serving as assistant principal at Livonia Central School District, Hysick has been recognized for her student-focused leadership and collaborative approach. She holds advanced certifications in school administration and permanent certifications in Elementary and Special Education, with degrees from SUNY Oswego, Nazareth College, and SUNY Fredonia.
“We’re excited to have Erin join our team,” said Lyons Superintendent Dr. Matthew Barr. “Her passion for education and dedication to student success will greatly benefit our school community.”
Hysick shared her enthusiasm for the new role: “I am both honored and excited to join the amazing Lyons school community as the new elementary principal. I am committed to supporting an environment where every student is empowered to achieve their fullest potential. Together with our dedicated staff, parents, and community, we will continue providing our youngest lions with amazing opportunities in and outside the classroom!”
Erin Hysick will assume the role of Principal at the Lyons Elementary School, effective December 18th, pending board approval.
