The mother of a one-year-old baby from Wayne County and her boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly assaulting the infant.
29 year-old Morgan Pentycofe’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Terrell Martinez, is accused of causing numerous injuries to the child while Pentycofe was present at their Canal Street home on August 12th. When the child was taken to Newark-Wayne Hospital it was allegedly reported she had fallen out of a crib. After being transported to Strong, it was determined the one-year-old had suffered serious injuries to her head and extremities.
The couple faces two felony counts of assault and will appear in court to answer the charges at a later date.
