A Lyons man is facing multiple felony charges after State Police seized drugs, weapons, and cash during an investigation this week.
Troopers say they began investigating possible narcotics activity at a Queen Street residence on September 9. The next day, a traffic stop on Broad Street led to the arrest of Adam Thomas, 48, after troopers say they found about 90 grams of cocaine in his truck.
A search warrant was later executed at Thomas’s home, where police say they recovered:
- About 2 kilograms of cocaine
- An additional 90 grams of cocaine
- Four illegally possessed handguns
- About 8 grams of fentanyl
- Nearly $2,800 in cash
- A digital scale with residue

Thomas was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 1st degree (A-I felony), two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (B felonies), four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree (C felonies), and endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor).
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment. State Police were assisted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit. The investigation is ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
