Police say a Lyons man faces charges in Ontario County after assaulting an investigator with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
After two investigators with the DMV gave Matthew Van Scott their proper identification at the Hideout Bar and Grill in Geneva, the 41-year-old allegedly initiated a physical confrontation with them both, striking each and resulting in one suffering an injury.
Van Scott was charged with assault and ordered to appear in Geneva City Court at a later date.
