Two local National Historical Parks will celebrate Women’s Equality Day with a week of special programs, exhibits, and celebrations focused on equality.
Running from August 26-31, each day will feature special guest speakers at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls. Friday and Saturday will also see pop-up activities at the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park in Auburn.
Women’s Equality Day is held on August 26 and commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote.
The Harriet Tubman National Historical Park announced it will soon release a full schedule of events at both parks.
