Lawsuits have been filed against the Real Eats in Geneva after employees alleged that the business did not provide them advance notice the food-delivery service was closing.
The Finger Lakes Times reports former RealEats employee Yvonne Winter claims that she was among several other employees who were laid off due to the company’s sudden closure without giving them at least 60 days’ notice.
Another lawsuit has been filed by an Indiana company that later last year invested $450,000 dollar in Real Eats.
Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan has called for the New York State Department of Labor and the Attorney General to investigate Real Eats.
