Empire State Development is partnering with ITT to support growth in its New York State operations across three locations, including in Seneca Falls.

ITT is a multi-national manufacturer of highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for the transportation, industrial, and energy markets. ITT currently maintains operations in more than 35 countries with sales in approximately 125 countries. The company’s Industrial Process (IP) segment, a global leader in centrifugal and twin-screw pumps for process flow applications, is headquartered in Seneca Falls.

The company plans to invest in facility upgrades, machinery and equipment, and other operational improvements while adding to its workforce in Seneca, Onondaga, and Erie Counties. The combined project includes an investment of up to $85 million over the next five years, and the creation of up to 75 new, quality jobs in the state. Empire State Development is providing up to $3.25 million to ITT through the performance-based Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit program to assist with the planned expansion.

The investment is focused on the following three ITT locations:

Goulds Pumps: Located in Seneca Falls, up to 45 new jobs will be created, with a planned capital investment of $72.5 million over the next five years. There are approximately 620 employees at the facility, part of the company’s IP segment.

Enidine: Located in Orchard Park, up to 25 new jobs will be created, with a planned capital investment of $11 million over the next five years. There are approximately 230 employees at the facility presently onsite. The facility is part of ITT’s Connect & Control Technologies segment, a niche player in harsh environment connectors and control components for the aerospace, industrial and defense markets.

Embedded Motor Drive (EMD): Located in Syracuse, the EMD is part of ITT’s venture capital fund. Here, up to 5 new jobs will be created with an approximate $1.5 million capital investment.

State Senator Thomas F. O’Mara said, “These ongoing state investments and incentives are critical to strengthening the manufacturing sector and local economies here in Seneca County, across the Finger Lakes region, and throughout New York State. ITT is a global manufacturing leader and we look forward to continuing to work to grow and expand its Upstate New York workforce in the years ahead.”

State Senator John W. Mannion said, “I’m proud to support this new investment in Onondaga County’s manufacturing economy and workforce. By partnering with ITT Inc., we’re supporting our region’s long history of innovation and job creation. I thank Governor Hochul and Empire State Development for helping to bring this significant new investment to our community.”

State Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan said, “As a representative for portions of the Finger Lakes and Central New York, I am always excited to hear about the formation of new partnerships that will strengthen the regional economy and create new high-paying jobs. Goulds Pumps has been a staple of the Town of Seneca Falls for over 175 years, employing hundreds of skilled workers. New opportunities and further expansion are on the way thanks to this excellent investment. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this will bring to the surrounding community.”
