Fans of the holiday classic It’s A Wonderful Life will soon be able to experience Bedford Falls in a whole new way. The It’s A Wonderful Life Festival Committee has announced that It’s A Wonderful Life-opoly—a special edition board game inspired by the beloved film—is officially in production and will be available in mid-October.
The game, modeled after the iconic Monopoly board game, replaces the streets of Atlantic City with the people and places of Bedford Falls. Players will find familiar characters like George and Mary, Mr. Potter, Uncle Billy, Bert and Ernie, Clarence, and Zuzu, along with landmarks such as the Bailey Building and Loan, the Granville House, and the Bedford Falls High School gymnasium.
In addition to buying properties and making trades, players can build “the prettiest little homes” and boarding houses, all while immersing themselves in the story by reciting dozens of quotes printed on the cards and board.
“This game is more than just a way to have fun with family and friends—it’s a celebration of a film that has touched the lives of people for generations,” said Haidee Oropallo, president of the It’s A Wonderful Life Festival Committee. “We can’t wait to share it with fans everywhere, and just in time for Christmas too.”
The game, made in the U.S. in partnership with an Ohio-based company, will be sold online through the festival website, at select retailers, and during the annual It’s A Wonderful Life Festival in Seneca Falls (Dec. 12–14, 2025).
