Seneca Falls, NY, November 24, 2023—- Less than one week to get your entry in! Occurring as part of the Annual It’s A Wonderful Life Festival slated for December 7-10, the deadline is fast approaching to enter the 9th Annual It’s A Wonderful Holiday Lights Contest! Start decorating now for the judging that takes place on December 4th and 5th; winners will be announced at the Community Festival Block Party on Thursday, December 7 from 5:00-8:00 pm on State Street. Besides some great cash prizes, there’s the fun of decorating your house to enter in one of 3 main categories:
Two prizes will be awarded in each category: a $500 first place and $250 second place. Haidee Oropallo, president of the It’s a Wonderful Life Festival, shares “the contest provides an opportunity for Seneca Falls residents to get their ‘shine on’ and celebrate belonging to a community rich in the holiday spirit.” Ms. Oropallo mentions too that contestants must submit a photo of their decorations, which will be posted online for voting, where they become eligible for a $100 “Fan Favorite” prize.
