Ithaca College’s plans for a makeover of their football stadium are now moving forward.
The town’s planning board and zoning board of appeals last week approved plans for the new artificial turf field and lights for night football games and other events.

The project is being paid for by a $3 million dollar donation by alumna and Waterloo native Monica Bertino Wooden. The field will be known as “Bertino Field at Butterfield Stadium.”
The work is expected to be finished and a dedication is set for the football game on September 30th when the Ithaca Bombers host the Hobart Statesmen.
