The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) is inviting the public to review and comment on its draft Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), the agency’s operating plan and annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The Genesee Transportation Council is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, serving Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates Counties.
The UPWP outlines transportation planning projects and ongoing activities across the nine-county Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, including development of an active transportation plan, a scoping study related to a major regional bridge, and data-driven efforts such as land-use monitoring, crash analysis, and safety reviews. The plan reflects the vision and priorities of GTC’s Long Range Transportation Plan 2045.
The public comment period is open through February 11. Residents can review the draft and submit comments online at www.publicinput.com/GTCUPWP26, by email at [email protected], by text to 73224 (text UPWP26), by phone at 855-925-2801 (enter code 11181), or by calling Project Manager Chris Snyder at (585) 252-1262. Written comments can also be mailed to: Genesee Transportation Council, 1 South Washington Street, Suite 520, Rochester, NY 14614.
