Groundbreaking for Women’s “Walk of Fame” in Seneca Falls Set for May

Already home to the Women’s’ Hall of Fame, Seneca Falls will soon be the site of a “Women’s Walk of Fame.” Rick Newman with Generations Bank says eleven bronze plaques will be placed in the Generations Bell Park that will honor deserving recipients and will resemble the “Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

“Now these bronze plaques are honoring Women of Distinction and certain categories that they are known for,” Newman said,  “Social justice, sports, STEM, general pioneer and business work and we’ve also identified a number of businesses in downtown Seneca Falls, most of them, women-owned.”

A groundbreaking event for the Walk of Fame will be held at Generations headquarters in Seneca Falls on May 12th.
