Governor Hochul Orders Flags Flown At Half-Staff for Ontario County Airman

Governor Kathy Hochul has directed flags be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings today in honor of U.S. Staff Sgt. Kory Wade of Shortsville.

Wade was killed last month during an Air Force training exercise.

Family and friends will gather this morning for a memorial service at Red Jacket High School auditorium. Wade will be buried in Sampson Veterans Cemetery in Romulus.

Wade joined the Air Force in 2008 upon his graduate from high school.
