The Geneva Rotary Club is set to host a Foreign Exchange Info Mixer on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. at WeBe Brewing Company in Geneva.
The meeting will introduce attendees to the club’s Youth Exchange Program, which offers high school students the opportunity to study abroad for a full academic year or participate in short-term exchanges throughout the summer. The program’s initiative is to foster global understanding, lifelong friendships, and personal growth by giving young people the opportunity to travel and connect with people from around the world.
Attendees of the mixer will have the chance to meet with Rotary District and Club representatives, as well as former host families and exchange students, to ask questions about the program and share stories about past experiences.
“Rotary’s exchange program builds bridges across cultures and teaches students to see the world through new perspectives,” a Geneva Rotary spokesperson said. “This event is a great way for families to explore how they can get involved—whether as host parents or exchange participants.”
Light refreshments will be provided at the event on Thursday and all are welcome to attend.
