Police in Geneva arrested a local man early Friday morning in connection with a burglary at the Smith Opera House.
Officers say 25-year-old Catheuss Golden, a convicted felon and Geneva resident, forcibly entered the building on August 27 and stole electronic equipment valued at over $500.
Authorities say the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Golden was processed at the Geneva Police Department and taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. Additional charges are pending.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
