    Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

    There will be several periods of stronger winds, with this afternoon seeing strong southerly winds, then a break this evening, before stronger west wind develop tonight into Saturday.

Geneva Man Arrested Following Yates County Crash

A Geneva man is facing charges after a two-car crash in Yates County Friday night.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, at around 11:00p, 26-year-old Denzel Mwanangala drove his vehicle over the center line on Hall Road in the Town of Benton, striking an oncoming car head-on.

After the crash, he was given a field sobriety test and subsequently arrested and taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a chemical test. Mwanangala was then taken to Yates County Jail to await arraignment.

He has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravation Unlicensed Operation, Failure to Keep Right, Open Container, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Using a Moblie Phone.
