A Geneva man accused of robbing a home less than a month ago is now being accused of a robbing a Town of Geneva business nearly three years ago.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the Tuesday arrest of Joseph Woody, also known as J.J. Eldridge after an investigation by law enforcement alleged that, back in August of 2021, the 54-year-old unlawfully entered a business on County Road 6 in the Town of Geneva and committed a larceny.
Woody was charged with Burglary and was jailed without bail. He is scheduled to answer the charge against him at a later date in Geneva Town Court.
On February 2, Woody was identified as a person of interest and arrested in connection to the armed invasion of a home on Castle Street on January 31.
He is on probation in Ontario County for criminal possession of stolen property.
