Geneva High School has a new assistant principal.
James Nuñez replaces Tim Baker, who accepted a position outside the district. Mr. Nuñez worked as an administrator, most recently in the Greece Central School District and at Rochester City Schools’ North STAR Educational Program. He has a bachelor’s in education from Geneseo State University and a master’s in education from Brockport State University, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in educational administration.
“We are pleased to be able to welcome Mr. Nuñez to our district,” said Superintendent Bo Wright. “He has a range of administrative and educational experience that I’m sure will prove beneficial at Geneva High School.”
“I am so excited to be part of the Geneva community,” Mr. Nuñez said. “I am looking forward to establishing relationships with faculty, students, and families, as well as supporting our students with preparing for college or career and life after high school.”
“I’d also like to wish Tim Baker well on this next step in his career,” Mr. Wright added. “He was a strong, positive presence throughout the district, and I know he will be missed.”
Mr. Nuñez has also worked as a guest lecturer to Future Educational Leaders in Cambodia.
