Geneva City Council to Discuss Ward Six Tie Tonight

SHARE NOW

Plans to fill the Ward Six seat in the city of Geneva will be discussed at tonight’s City Council meeting.

Democrat Scott Bowes and incumbent Republican Kyle Brimm each received 89 votes in last month’s election. Republicans, who hold the majority on the council, wanted to make an appointment to fill the seat, while Democrats wanted to flip a coin to determine the next councilor.

The Finger Lakes Times reports the Governor could call for a special election to fill the seat.

Tonight’s meeting starts at 7 and can be viewed here
