Geneva’s downtown tomorrow will have a delightful smell.
It’s billed as the “World’s First Chili Sniffing Contest.” It was supposed to be the third annual Small Business Saturday Chili Contest, but because some of the businesses don’t normally sell food and an anonymous complaint was made to the New York State Department of Health the contest had to change.
Some businesses that do sell food will be offering free samples. The winner will be judged on the smell of the chili.
Organizer Marilla Gonzalez has stores in both Geneva and Rochester, so the contest will be held in both cities.
