Fundraiser Launched to Help Palmyra Family After House Fire

A fundraiser has been launched to support a Palmyra family displaced by a house fire that destroyed their home Saturday morning.

A GoFundMe campaign, titled “Rebuilding for David Clark and His Grandkids,” has been set up on GoFundMe to help David Clark and his two grandchildren recover after their home on State Route 31 was destroyed in an early morning fire on February 28.

According to the fundraiser, no one was injured in the blaze, and Clark’s granddaughter, Dakotah, was able to escape safely. However, the fire left the family without a home or personal belongings.

The campaign was organized by Danielle Clark, who wrote that her father is facing significant emotional and financial challenges while caring for his grandchildren.

“This tragic event has left my dad overwhelmed, both emotionally and financially,” she wrote. “The loss of their home, all their personal belongings, and all the added expenses already is more than they could have ever prepared for.”

Donations will be used to help with temporary housing, food, clothing, rebuilding costs, and other day-to-day living expenses as the family works to get back on its feet.

The fundraiser is open to the public, and organizers say any contribution, regardless of size, is appreciated.
