Two men and two teenagers from the Rochester area who are accused of stealing cars from an auto auction in Seneca Falls and leading police on a pursuit into Waterloo on Thursday were released on appearance tickets following their arrests.
24-year-old Naeqwan Williams, of Greece, 19-year-old Kenneth Carter, and two juvenile boys, all from Rochester, are accused of showing up at the auto auction just before 10 Thursday morning, and stealing two cars. Police quickly located the car being driven by the juveniles, and engaged in a brief pursuit, which ended after the stolen car became disabled after being driven off the road in the area of Stark Street and State Route 96 in Waterloo. One of the juveniles was taken into custody immediately and the second was found with the help of a State Police K9 and Drone Team.
Williams and Carter were both found in Ontario County by State Police. The car they allegedly stole was found abandoned and was recovered.
Williams and Carter were both charged with grand larceny and conspiracy. Charges against the juveniles were not listed.
The males were released with appearance tickets and future court dates to answer the charges. The Seneca Falls Police was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, the Village of Waterloo Police, and the New York State Police.
The stolen vehicles were returned to the dealership following the investigation.
