Next week’s sentencing of former Seneca County Manager John Sheppard on a misdemeanor conviction of official misconduct has been moved to March 1st.
Sheppard was found guilty following a five-day trial last September in Waterloo Village Court of acting improperly regarding disciplinary action taken against county Emergency Management Director Melissa Taylor in 2018.
The Finger Lakes Times reports Sheppard’s sentencing will not take place on February 7th after a pre-sentencing report was not filed in a timely matter to the court. Sheppard faces probation, a conditional discharge, community service, or up to a year in jail.
