A former Boy Scout camp in Ontario County has been listed for sale.
The Western New York Scout Council is selling Camp Dittmer in Phelps for 3.7 million dollars. The Finger Lakes Times reports that the property closed two years ago following the merger of two scouting councils and is being listed through Timberland Realty, which specializes in recreational property sales. The 317-acre site includes a 110-acre lake and multiple buildings.
A second local Boy Scout camp is also up for sale. Camp Babcock-Hovey in Ovid is listed for 9 million dollars. Another Seneca County camp, Camp Barton in Covert, was bought by New York State Parks from the Baden-Powell Council.
