A former local police chief pleaded not guilty to a pair of DWI charges in town court Wednesday.
Fabian Rivera was arrested back in November for allegedly driving drunk after being involved in an accident with his Town of Macedon patrol car. He was then given a ride by a sergeant to his home in Walworth, where he allegedly got into his personal car and again drove while allegedly drunk. He resigned from his job one day after his arrest.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported Rivera’s Blood Alcohol Content to be more than three times the legal limit at the time of his arrests. Rivera was charged with DWI in both the towns of Walworth and Macedon.
