Geneva General Hospital will soon add a new X-ray machine, thanks to support from donors to the Finger Lakes Health Foundation’s annual campaign.

Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union contributed $5,000 toward the purchase and installation of the upgraded equipment. Credit Union President and CEO Bob McFadden said the donation reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of local communities. He called the gift “a direct investment in accessible, quality local healthcare,” and noted that the new machine will help ensure Dr. Jose Acevedo and the hospital’s care teams have the modern tools they need.

Finger Lakes Health President and CEO Dr. Acevedo said community support is essential to keeping medical equipment up to date. “That is possible because of the help we get from our community partners like Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union,” he said, adding that the organization understands the importance of maintaining strong local healthcare services.

The new X-ray machine is expected to be installed by the end of the year, with a ribbon-cutting planned for early 2026.

The Finger Lakes Health Foundation supports capital projects, programs, and endowment needs across the health system, including Geneva General Hospital, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, multiple long-term care centers, and affiliated physician practices.
