Some of the best men’s college volleyball players will be competing at Finger Lakes Community College next year as the Canandaigua college will host the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) National Invitational.
The championship event will take place from April 4-6, 2025, with April 6 reserved as a contingency date.
his marks the first time FLCC has hosted the event, which was previously held at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL.
“We are excited to select Finger Lakes Community College as the 2025 NJCAA Men’s Volleyball Invitational site,” said Kurt Kohler, NJCAA Men’s Volleyball Committee Chair. “Finger Lakes has made a solid commitment to men’s volleyball, as evidenced by the success of the Lakers program since the sport’s inception as an NJCAA emerging sport. Samantha Boccacino and the entire FLCC athletics administration have stepped forward to host this tournament, and they will provide a high-quality experience for the student-athletes, coaches, and fans who attend.”
The tournament will feature top teams from across the country, showcasing elite talent and competition at the national level. Teams will arrive for practice on April 3, 2025, with competition beginning on April 4. The final tournament format will be determined based on the number of participating teams, with the Invitational Declaration Deadline set for March 5, 2025.
