The first legal New York State marijuana dispensary in Geneva is set to open this weekend.
It’s called “High Points”, and it’s in the Town of Geneva at the entrance to the Lake Geneva Center between Empire Vision Works and the Denny’s Restaurant.
Recreational marijuana use has been legal in New York State since 2021. A lawsuit blocked licenses being issued in the Rochester-Finger Lakes region. That lawsuit was settled this summer and licenses were approved including several in the Finger Lakes.
“High Points” will open on Saturday.
There are also New York State licensed pot shops in Ithaca and Victor.
The Cayuga Indian Nation has been selling marijuana in Aurelius, Seneca Falls and Union Springs.
