Investigators say a fire that destroyed an Ontario County home on Tuesday started in the kitchen.
The owner of the Tall Oak Drive home in Bristol called 911 after he was unsuccessful in putting out a stove fire. Eight departments responded to help put out the fire during the noon hour. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
The Bristol, Canandaigua, East Bloomfield, West Bloomfield, Cheshire, Victor, Honeoye, and Ionia Fire Departments all responded to the scene. Canandaigua and East Bloomfield Ambulance also responded.
