A Fairport man was arrested following a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Wolcott.
33-year-old Elias J. Flowers, of Balsam Lane in Fairport drove off the roadway and struck a telephone pole at around 2 a.m. Monday. Flowers reportedly failed field sobriety tests at the scene, and a subsequent breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.12%.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and moving from a lane unsafely. Flowers was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Wolcott Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
