8:15AM UPDATE –
Two women escaped their home at 3017 County Road 6 in Geneva early this morning when a fire started in attached garage and spread though the house.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say 54-year old Rebecca Lackey and 78-year old Carol Lackey were able to escape from the burning home. Carol was treated by Finger Lakes Ambulance for minor cut to her head.
The house, garage, and a 2012 Honda CRV were a total loss.
Northside, Geneva, White Springs, Oaks Corners, and Border City firefighters were called to battle the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Northside, Geneva, Oaks Corners, and Border City firefighters were called to County Road 6, Pre-Emption Road in Geneva for a house fire just at 3:30 this morning.
The first reports said there were explosions in the garage. A car could be seen parked in the garage.
The American Red Cross was contacted to help the residents.
County Road 6 is closed to traffic near the fire scene.
