State Police are investigating a serious two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Ontario County.

According to investigators, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 55-year-old man was traveling northbound on County Route 7 in the Town of Manchester at approximately 2:45 p.m. when it failed to stop for a red light. The vehicle entered the intersection at State Route 96 and was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2012 Chevrolet Express box truck, causing both vehicles to overturn and leave the roadway.

The driver of the Cruze was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the box truck, identified as a 30-year-old Fairport man, was taken by private vehicle to F.F. Thompson Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered to the driver of the box truck at the scene, and no signs of impairment were observed.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
