A Fairport woman is in critical condition at Strong Memorial Hospital after being involved in a two-car accident in Canandaigua on Sunday.
An investigation determined that 65-year-old Sylvia Ward was driving south on Sand Hill Road when she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection with Emerson Road and pulled into the path of an eastbound car. A passenger in Ward’s car was also taken to Strong for minor injuries.
The driver of the other car was checked over at the scene and released.
