In the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life” George Bailey’s family and friends collect $8,000 to keep him out of jail. George could have sold his car for a lot more. The 1919 Dodge Brothers Touring Car sold last January at auction for $522,000 dollars.
Now other cars like the original movie car, will make their way to Seneca Falls, the town thought to be the inspiration for the movie.
Next week, the 2023 Finger Lakes Relaxation Tour of Dodge Brothers Club will visit the Finger Lakes Region. The car owners from all over the world will bring their cars- including a 1919 car like Jimmy Stewart crashes into a tree-to Seneca Falls. The cars will be parked on the Bridge Street bridge and in downtown Seneca Falls for photos.
