A disturbance at Thompson Hospital early Thursday morning resulted in an arrest by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Bergman is accused of threatening violence to those around him, including Sheriff’s Deputies and hospital staff. He was placed under arrest and subsequently began physically resisting, which resulted in damage to hospital equipment and an injury to a deputy sheriff.
Bergman was arrested on assault and obstructing governmental administration charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
