A date has been chosen for residents to decide the fate of one Wayne County village.
Residents of Wolcott will head to the polls on March 12th to vote on whether or not the village should be dissolved. 86 residents signed a petition for the dissolution referendum. For it to pass, there must be a majority vote. The Finger Lakes Times reports there are 703 registered voters living in the village.
The first of two public meetings on a dissolution study will be held in the village Fire Hall on January 9th at 6 p.m.
