A court fight is underway over the Finger Lakes Drive-In in Aurelius.
The Citizen reports the Finger Lakes Drive-In has asked for an injunction to prevent the Cayuga Nation from blocking the drive-in’s entrance. The drive-in’s owner, Paul Meyer, asked Cayuga County Supreme Court for the injunction the nation’s leadership council, placed concrete blocks at the entrance, claiming it encroaches on a neighboring property the nation purchased last year.
Meyer says that the drive-in’s access is protected by a 20-year lease he signed in 2014, with the previous owner of the neighboring property.
Meyer is raising money for his legal expenses on a GoFundMe page.
